Hanging from the branch of an oak tree with a camera around her neck, Melanie Van Sickle discovered at the age of 8, that she loved photography.
She experimented with photography using different angles and subjects while growing up in Chicago. These experiments taught her that there is one main factor involved in creating a great photograph - it must tell a story. Over the years, she has photographed human models, animals, interiors and her favorite, the Equine Lifestyle.
She has also worked as a model and a stunt woman so she truly appreciates both sides of the camera. She resides in Oklahoma with her husband, 4 horses, 3 dogs and a cat.
